an olive oil deep dive
Yep….we’ll even spend Valentine’s Day together.
Here’s the way this one will go. We’re going to rent a 9-passenger van and remove the back seats. We’ll depart empty, and return full. you’ll be helping us seek out new oil from the 2026 harvest, as well as visiting with a few mills we already work with.
Over the course of a week, we’ll visit about a dozen producers, and have at least that many incredible meals.
But where will we go you ask? Here’s the catty answer: We don’t Exactly know yet. But let’s say this anyway: Italy and Croatia?
❋ Where We'll Be
Parts of Italy including Puglia, Campania, Lazio, Marche, and Veneto. And then an exploration into Croatia, or maybe even Macedonia. Who knows?
❋ Where We'll Eat
Lunches at home with millers. really good pasta joints behind gas stations, proscuitto sandwiches on the road, and some good seafood near the sea.
❋ Super Cool Extra Stuff
This could be called “the everything you ever wanted to know about extra virgin oilve oil, but were afraid to ask” tour. But yes…we’ll talk about and drink some great wine too!
The Kickoff DetailsArrive & Meet
We’ll mostly likely organize ourselves in Rome or Naples to start this tour, where we’ll get to know each other over lunch, maybe at worker’s joint in Gragnano.
Our onward journey will start just after we finish two or three coffees..
