the mission
Our tours can be thought of as ‘deep dives’ that might include winemaker visits, great meals, meeting artisans and farmers, and maybe even dining with guest visitors. Together, we’ll visit the kitchens, wineries, and other small businesses that you would surely miss by not wandering far enough away from the big cities.
And ultimatley, collaborating together, maybe over the next nine years we’ll moderinize and revisit all of Curnonsky’s 28 volumes with our own words, images, illustrations, and experiences!

regional travel
The options below will eventually grow to include 28 different tours, each corresponding to Curnonsky’s original volumes published in the 1920’s. Below you’ll find the first dozen I’m offering that will get us underway. The starting point for each getaway is no more than a 3.5 hour train ride from Paris.
Have fun reading about each region, and putting your imagination to work on how to combine a couple or three into your own memorable itinerary.
