Béarn

Between the ocean and the mountains, Béarn and the Basque Country hide some of the best culinary treasures in France.

At the table in Béarn, typical dishes tell the story of an authentic and warm region. Let’s search for garbure, a rustic and comforting soup, or a cut from the Béarnaise cow, or Pyrenean goat cheese. How about the Béarn corn beans, the Roussanne peach from Monein, the large red corn, the "greuilh" sheep's milk from the mountains?

Of course we can’t leave without figuring out why the nearby village of Espelette has become famous for it’s spicy peppers!
