Italy’s East Coast

May 8th-15th, 2027

We'll meet up at the Pisa airport and then head to Lucca for two nights before heading south through Tuscany, Lazio, and Campania. There will be two nights in Viterbo, and the final two somewhere outside Naples. We'll visit at least three CorksCru wineries, and also three of our new olive oil producers.

I promise...you WILL be off the beaten path for this trip, even though we’re meeting in Pisa, staying in Lucca. We'll travel together in a roomy passenger van, and stay in super-comfortable (but not over-the-top) accommodations. Instead, our budget will be directed toward food and wine. Duh.

And wait til you meet my new buddy Pasquale. Phillip Seymour-Hoffman lives!

Total Estimated cost person: €5000 with all lunches, dinners, lodging, entry fees, and transportation included.

Where We’ll Go…

• Liguria/Tuscany

  We’ll spend two nights in the fantastic city of Lucca, not far from Pisa airport. From here we’ll have access to one of our favorite small wineries in Liguria, the marble quarries of Carrara, an olive oil producer, and several fantastic meals.

  You’ll also have some free time to explore this historic city from our hip and lovely lodging in the center.

• Lazio

  After Lucca we’ll head south along the Tuscan coast, stopping for a visit with our winemaking friends in Chianti Classico, before dropping our bags for a few nights in Viterbo. From here we’ll visit a young couple starting an olive oil business, participate in a grandma-hosted cooking class, and eat some more.

  Just like in Lucca, you’ll have some free time to explore this lesser known Italian city from our quarters in the center.

• Campania

  For the final leg, we’ll divert around Rome, including a lunch at a truck stop, and head into the rolling green countryside to the east of Naples. We’ll have two more olive oil stops, and two more wineries to visit, before we finish off with a little pasta-making history!

  Our loding for these two days will be at a fantastic country estate. Following our last meal together, we can get you to a train station, or Naples airport.
